Police: I-66 ‘severely impacted’ by closures Saturday

WASHINGTON  —Eastbound traffic on Interstate 66 in Virginia will be “severely impacted” by temporary closures from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Arlington County police said.

The closures will enable Vietnam War veterans to travel to Arlington National Cemetery, police said.

Police said there would be disruptions on southbound Route 110 and Washington Boulevard (Route 27) near Columbia Pike.

Delays are also expected around Crystal City, Virginia between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. as another veterans’ group is escorted through the area.

It’s hard to shake up the jam-packed SUV market, but Hyundai managed to do so with the Palisade, as an extreme value play. It seats up to eight, can be equipped with almost every luxury touch and competes with SUVs costing thousands (or tens of thousands) more.
