Circus performer injured at Va. show

WASHINGTON — A circus performer was injured during a performance in Fairfax, Virginia, Thursday night.

A BMX bike performer was hurt in a fall at the 7 p.m. performance of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at the EagleBank Arena, on the campus of George Mason University.

The show was delayed a few minutes because of the accident.  

A circus spokeswoman says the performer was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. The extent of the injuries still aren’t clear.

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
