WASHINGTON — Nine adults and four children are displaced after a fire broke out at a house in Laurel early Sunday morning.

Prince George’s County Fire Department officials say crews responded to the home around 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of White Way.

Department spokesman Mark Brady says a smoke alarm alerted the family, who was sleeping at the time. There were no reported injuries.

The estimated cost of damage is $100,00.

The cause remains under investigation.
