Va. coach accused of sexting 16-year-old student

WASHINGTON — A private school coach in Prince William County is facing charges of having a sexual relationship with a student.

George Logan III, 43, is charged with having sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl — a student at Highland School in Warrenton, Virginia, where he coaches. Police arrested him Tuesday.

Price William County police say they learned more of the relationship after they responded to investigate a sexual assault reported at a residence in the 8200 block of Humphrey Lane in Manassas, Virginia.

An investigation found Logan and the girl had a relationship together since January 2016, and that Logan sent her inappropriate text messages during that time, according to Prince William County police.

Logan is charged with indecent liberties, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, use of a communications device to facilitate certain offenses, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held without bond.
