Man found dead in Fairfax Co. apartment had been shot

WASHINGTON — Police have identified a man found dead from a gunshot wound in a Fairfax County apartment Tuesday afternoon.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded to the 5500 block of Seminary Road in Alexandria, Virginia, at about 2:30 p.m. for reports of an unresponsive man in an apartment. Police found a man who had an apparent gunshot wound and was dead.

Police have identified the victim as 35-year-old Babtunde Fadahunsi.

Police say they have reason to believe it was not a “random event.” Detectives are continuing to investigate, and say there is currently no suspect information.

Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
