Police: Father fatally stabbed by son in Annapolis

WASHINGTON — Police say a 44-year-old man was fatally stabbed by his son in Annapolis on Saturday.

Police say Martin Jolalpa-Vazquez, 44, of Annapolis was found stabbed and heavily bleeding at a residence in the 300 block of Atwater Drive.

Jolalpa-Vazquez was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Police have arrested his son, Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez, 22, in connection to the stabbing death.

Jolalpa-Ramirez has been charged with first and second degree murder, manslaughter, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.

Police said he was being held at Jennifer Road Detention Center without bail. A hearing is scheduled for Monday, according to court records accessed online.
