Family: Missing man, lost in freezing temperatures found safe

UPDATE 3:33 p.m. Feb. 14 -- A family member on Sunday said Pedro Mostajo has been found. Fairfax County police has not confirmed the information.

Police are looking for Pedro Mostajo who last last seen leaving his home in Burke on Saturday night.

WASHINGTON — Fairfax County police are searching for a missing Burke, Virginia, man who was last seen on Saturday night when temperatures were dipping into the single digits.

According to a release, Police say Pedro Mostajo, 79, of the 9600 block of Westport Lane, suffers from Alzheimer’s and could be in need of medical attention. He left his residence alone around 6 p.m. Saturday in a silver 2009 Toyota Corolla bearing Virginia license plates KNJ-8515. The vehicle had a BRYC soccer sticker on the back.

Police say Mostajo is Hispanic; he is about 5 feet 9 inches and 185 pounds, with  white/black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black jacket and jeans.

Super Pet Expo offers its first in-person event in Virginia since pandemic began

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
