UPDATE 9:55 a.m. 1/13/2016: Metro reports that the Orange Line is single-tracking again, this time between New Carrollton and Cheverly due to a cracked rail outside Cheverly. EARLIER: Metro is no longer single-tracking between Vienna and West Falls Church. Residual delays remain. EARLIER: WASHINGTON — Metro is warning commuters to expect delays on the Orange Line Wednesday morning. A cracked rail outside Dunn Loring station has Metro single-tracking between West Falls Church and Vienna. Outbound Orange Line trains are bypassing the Dunn Loring station in order to minimize the delays. Metro says that outbound passengers who want to get off at Dunn Loring should stay on past the station, get off at Vienna and get on an inbound train, which will still stop at Dunn Loring. Metro also suggests using East Falls Church as an alternative station. They also have bus suggestions for getting around the problem.
