Beltway crash leaves two children seriously injured Sunday

WASHINGTON — A serious crash on the Inner Loop of the Beltway in Montgomery County has left two young children in serious condition. The crash, involving an overturned vehicle, occurred  between Connecticut Avenue and Georgia Avenue around 10 a.m. on Sunday. Montgomery County Fire officials say two children, ages 3 and 8, were seriously hurt in the crash. One woman was also hurt, but she is expected to be okay. Officials say the crash was likely weather-related. Maryland State Police is currently investigating and there are no further details at this time.
