Hearings set on power line from Fauquier to Albemarle

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia regulators have set public hearings on a proposed 230-kilovolt power line between Fauquier County and Albemarle County.

Dominion Virginia Power wants to build about 38 miles of overhead transmission line on existing right-of-way in Fauquier, Culpeper, Orange and Albemarle counties. The projected completion date is June 2019.

The State Corporation Commission’s hearings are scheduled for April 28 at the Orange County High School and June 28 in the commission’s courtroom in Richmond.
