Md. cyclist dies after collision with SUV

WASHINGTON — A cyclist in Rockville, Maryland, has died after a crash involving an SUV on Saturday.

Police said Samuel Vigil, 37, died from his injuries on Sunday evening.

Vigil was riding his bicycle on E. Gude Drive when he crashed into an SUV. Police said Vigil was crossing against pedestrian signals, and that the SUV had the right of way.

Both Vigil and the driver of the SUV were taken to area hospitals. The SUV driver’s injuries were not life-threatening.
