UPDATE 10/6/15 5:01 p.m.: Metro’s Blue and Yellow lines are no longer single tracking after emergency track repairs. EARLIER 10/6/15 4:32 p.m.: WASHINGTON — Emergency repairs to a Metro track at National Airport will likely affect Metro’s Blue and Yellow lines through the evening commute. On Metro’s Blue and Yellow lines, trains are single tracking between National Airport and Braddock Road because of a track problem at National Airport. The problem was reported at about 3:30 p.m. The problem is expected to affect the evening commute, says Metro. Emergency repairs are necessary before the affected track can be returned to service, says Metro. Trains are subject to 30- to 45-minute delays because of the track problem. Metro adds that the delays could build. Metroway bus service is running between Crystal City and Braddock Road.
Metroway operates every 12 min. YL/BL riders can consider this option if Braddock Rd or the surrounding neighborhood is your destination.
