$2M Powerball claimed in Virginia

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) _ A Powerball ticket worth $2 million has been claimed in Virginia.

The Virginian-Pilot (http://bit.ly/1NWMztZ) reports state lottery officials plan to reveal the winner’s name Monday. The ticket was bought in Virginia Beach.

The ticket was one of two $2 million tickets purchased for the Sept. 19 Powerball drawing in Virginia. Each ticket matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball. Each ticket’s $1 million prize was doubled because the buyers paid an extra dollar for Power Play.

The second ticket was bought in New Castle.
