Educators discussing Virginia’s strategic plan for postsecondary education

PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) _ Higher education officials and school presidents will discuss Virginia’s strategic plan for postsecondary education during a meeting in Petersburg.

The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia and the Council of Presidents will hold their annual joint meeting at 3 p.m. Monday at Virginia State University’s Gateway Dining Event Center.

The Virginia Plan for Higher Education includes aligning resources among K-12 schools, community colleges and universities.

Monday’s agenda also includes a discussion of the higher education council’s preliminary recommendations for the next biennial budget.
