This weekend’s games could be your most affordable entertainment options

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Beautiful weather is expected this weekend, and with school back in session and the beach largely out of reach, you might be thinking about going to the movies or playing some putt-putt golf.

Or, you could go to a local sporting event. In some cases, you’ll save some money.

The NFL season is still young and this weekend could be a great opportunity to see the Redskins take on the St. Louis Rams. StubHub has standing-room tickets for Sunday’s 1:05 p.m. game going for as little as $9 each.

That’s cheaper than catching a movie at the AMC Loews Theater in Georgetown at the same time.

While football season is just getting underway, there is still baseball left to be played at Nationals Park, and to get a seat at any of this weekend’s games, StubHub says, it could cost you as little as $6.

That’s cheaper than a round of mini golf at the East Potomac Golf Course.

Still looking for a good deal? You can get a seat at the University of Maryland football game against the University of South Florida for as little as $3.25.

And remember: The stadium sells beer now, too.
