WASHINGTON — It’s not clear whether it had a ticket, but a horse has been asked to leave a commuter train in Dublin, Ireland.

Riders on the Luas red line were surprised when a passenger brought a horse onto the tram at the Belgard stop.

The horse and owner wanted to travel toward the city centre, according to RTE News.

The driver noticed the four-legged passenger before closing the doors, and asked the horse and its owner to get off the tram.

The train system said the only animals allowed are guide dogs and other dogs in appropriate sized carriers.
