FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — Frederick police say a man has been charged with resisting arrest and injuring an officer during an arrest for an open-container violation.

Police say 54-year-old Brian Lewis was arrested Friday afternoon after officers were called to a report of alcohol and drug use in Carroll Creek Linear Park.

Police say Lewis screamed profanities and banged on the glass window of a business. Police say he then struggled with the officer who tried to arrest him. The officer suffered minor injuries to his hands and was treated on the scene.
