Motorcyclist killed in Md. crash

WASHINGTON — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Monday in Frederick County, Maryland.

The Maryland State Police say the cycle crashed on U.S. 15 at Motters Station Road, in Emmitsburg, at about 4:30 a.m.

Police say the cyclist died on the scene and that no one else was hurt. They say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

The road was closed for about three hours, but has since reopened.
