1 hurt in Fairfax Co. shooting

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a Fairfax County shooting that led one man to be injured Monday afternoon.

The shooting happened at about 3:30 p.m. on Cool Oak Lane near St. Germain Drive in Centreville, Virginia. One man was shot and has life-threatening injuries, says Fairfax County Police Spokesman Don Gotthardt.

Another man is in custody.

The shooting appears to be domestic in nature and the shooter and the injured man may be related, Gotthardt says.

Officials have not released any additional details about the shooting at this time.

Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
