Smoke cleared at Benning Road Metro station

WASHINGTON — Smoke was cleared late Tuesday at the Benning Road Metro station. It was closed around 11:30 p.m. after the D.C. Fire Department said smoke had been reported inside the station.

Metro tweeted that Blue and Silver line trains were turning back at Stadium Armory and Addison Road.

D.C. fire officials said the smoke was cleared just before midnight. No injuries were reported.
