Tuna recalled for possible Salmonella contamination

WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration says Osamu Corporation is recalling its frozen tuna due to possible Salmonella contamination.

The company is recalling all of its tuna that was processed in an Indonesia plant after health investigators in Minnesota found contaminated samples.

The frozen tuna was sold, in bulk, to sushi restaurants and grocery stores (for packaged sushi rolls) throughout the country from May 9, 2014 to July 9, 2015.

Customers concerned about sushi they bought should contact the restaurant or store where it was purchased, according to the FDA.
