WASHINGTON — An exuberant groomsman took the phrase “wedding crasher” too far, and has some explaining to do.

In a cringeworthy YouTube video,  an unidentified groomsman and bridesmaid’s entrance into the reception room didn’t go quite as planned.

The couple danced their way into the celebration, to the cheers and encouragement of other partygoers.

The groomsman gallantly gestured the bridesmaid to enter the dance floor, which she did.

In his “look at me” moment, the groomsman did a backflip — kicking the unsuspecting bridesmaid in the head, knocking her to the ground, and causing her to fall into a wedding display, sending a flower arrangement crashing on top of her.

To make matters worse, the groomsman tried to immediately help the bridesmaid up, to resume dancing, but she plummeted to the floor again.
