Police: Teen fleeing scene of assault falls from Ocean City hotel window

WASHINGTON — Police in Ocean City, Maryland say a teen is in stable condition after falling out a hotel window while attempting to flee the scene of an assault Sunday night.

According to police, 18-year-old Ricky Miller, of West Virginia, assaulted a woman pushing a stroller on the third floor of a hotel. Miller fled to the hotel’s fifth floor, and tried to exit through a hallway window when he fell into the alley below.

Police said Miller did not have any prior contact with the woman before the incident, and that it was unprovoked.

Miller was flown to a hospital for treatment, and was listed in stable condition. Police say alcohol and drugs were believed to have been contributing factors.

Charges have not yet been determined, and the investigation is ongoing.
