Man erroneously released from Baltimore City Detention Center

WASHINGTON — Law enforcement officials are looking for a man who was erroneously released from the Baltimore City Detention Center.

According to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, 28-year-old Derrick Phillips was last seen Sunday.

He was being held on charges of assault and reckless endangerment.

Phillips is described as standing 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.

Officials say if you see Phillips, you should not approach him or attempt to apprehend him. Call 911 or 410-333-8732 if you have any information about his whereabouts.

The Nuke LaLoosh character in the movie classic "Bull Durham" was loosely based on Dalkowski’s career.
