Tiger Woods golf tournament gets mascot

WASHINGTON – Tiger Woods isn’t playing the best golf of his career. But at least his golf tournament — which will take place at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va. this year — now has a cute new mascot. The Washington Post’s DC Sports Blog reports the Quicken Loans National just introduced a stuffed tiger mascot named “T-Dub.” The character was revealed on the Woods Foundation website with the phrase: “Look ut! T-Dub, the mascot of the Quicken Loans National, is coming to the DMV!” The web announcement continued: ““T-Dub, the Quicken Loans National’s furry friend, will be hidden all over the DMV beginning June 9. Fans that find T-Dub will win awesome prizes for the Quicken Loans National, such as free tournament tickets and memorabilia. See a T-Dub? Show us! Share your photos on Twitter using the hashtags #TigerHunt and #QLNational to join the hunt!”
