Prince performing in D.C. this weekend

WASHINGTON — Musical artist Prince has announced a special concert this weekend in the District.

According to a news release from concert promoter LiveNation, Prince will perform at the Warner Theatre on Sunday, June 14. His group 3RDEYEGIRL and singer Judith Hill will also be part of the entertainment.

The show follows last month’s “Rally 4 Peace” in Baltimore, which was in response to unrest following the death of Freddie Gray. A portion of the proceeds from that concert benefitted Baltimore-based youth charities.

Tickets for Sunday’s performance will go on sale at noon on Thursday at LiveNation.com.
