2 critically injured after stabbing in NW D.C.

WASHINGTON – Two people were critically injured in a quadruple stabbing in Northwest Washington Sunday night.

D.C. Police say the stabbing happened just before 9:25 p.m. in the area of T Street Northwest between 14th and 15th streets, just south of the U Street corridor.

Two people were critically injured, but police did not release any details about the other two people who were stabbed.

One person was stopped and detained at the scene.

It was the second quadruple stabbing in the District on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, four people were stabbed around 2 a.m. along 7th Street Northwest between the Gallery Place Metro and Mount Vernon Square.

 NBC Washington reports police do have someone in custody; the victims have not been identified.
