‘The Lion King’ and ‘Aladdin’ casts have airport sing-off (Video)

WASHINGTON — A Broadway-style singing showdown turned heads in an airport and is grabbing attention around the Internet.

Broadway casts from “The Lion King” and “Aladdin” got stuck at New York’s LaGuardia Airport for six hours because of inclement weather earlier this week and treated other passengers to an impromptu sing-off.

“The Lion King” cast kicked things off with “The Circle of Life,” followed by a freestyle rap from the Genie from “Aladdin,” James Iglehart.

A video of the sing-off has been viewed more than 1.5 million times as of Friday evening.
