WASHINGTON — The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office has located a prisoner who escaped Friday.

The sheriff’s department says is has located 20-year-old Alex Finnerty who escaped while being returned to the Detention Center in Centreville.

Finnerty had been charged with burglary and theft.

Schools in the immediate area were locked down during the search.
