Why some potential homeowners are backing out of the home-buying game

WASHINGTON — There are a lot of people buying houses in our area, which is a good thing for the housing market and the economy.

But with more people looking to buy, homes are going for more money and that leaves some potential homeowners backing out of the home-buying game.

WTOP’s Mike Murillo spoke to Ron Sitrin with Long and Foster about how the influx of buyers is influencing the market.

 

More than 1,000 weigh in on Prince George’s Six Flags redevelopment

More than 1,000 residents submitted questions and comments about the redevelopment of the former Six Flags America theme park in Prince George's County, Maryland. Some of them were addressed at a town-hall meeting Thursday. The majority of commenters requested recreational facilities, as well as restaurants and shopping.
