Wizards fans to get free shirts for Friday’s playoff game

WASHINGTON — The Washington Wizards’ playoff run continues Friday night at the Verizon Center, and fans will get free T-shirts to help show their support.

Attendees will get a red, white or blue T-shirt, depending on which section their seats are in.

The shirts will look good on TV and up the excitement as the Wizards come home ahead by two games to none in the series against the Toronto Raptors, says Zak Grim with Monumental Sports and Entertainment.

“The NBA playoffs are a marathon, not a sprint,” Grim says.

Last year, the Wizards made it to the second round of the playoffs. Grim says the team shows promise this year, and that this is a thrilling time to be a Washington sports fan.

“The playoffs are always exciting, and not only do we have the Washington Wizards in; we have the Washington Capitals in as well.”

Tipoff for Friday’s game is at 8 p.m.
