Starbucks cookies recalled for undeclared ingredient

WASHINGTON – Starbucks Black & White Mini Cookies are being recalled by Sweet Sam’s Baking Company because they contain milk, though it is not declared on the packaging.

According to Starbucks, people who have a milk allergy “run the risk of experiencing a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the product.”

The cookies were sold in stores in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina and West Virginia.

The product comes in a 2.0 oz. clear film package containing two cookies.

Starbucks says two customers with milk allergies reported having allergic reactions after consuming the cookies.
