WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. John Delaney is asking constituents to send him their stories of travel problems caused by inadequate roads, bridges, railways and airports.

The Maryland Democrat is sponsoring a bill that would use revenue from corporate tax reform to improve America’s infrastructure.

Delaney said Wednesday that infrastructure is often presented as an abstract, statistical problem. He says Congress should know how long commutes, unsafe bridges and overcrowded ports, railways and airports directly affect people’s lives.

Delaney’s 6th Congressional District includes Interstate 270, a highway between Frederick and the Capital Beltway that is routinely congested during rush hours.
