UFC’s Randy Couture talks transition into TV, movies

WASHINGTON — In the ongoing battle of Randy Couture v. The World, the “v” can only stand for one thing: “versatility.”

Not only is Couture an Ultimate Fighting champion, he has also starred alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stalone in “The Expendables” trilogy, demonstrated fancy footwork on “Dancing with the Stars,” and antagonized the cops on TV’s “Hawaii Five-O.”

Over the weekend, he joined WTOP regular Fairfax Hackley to induct the latest class of the International Sports Hall of Fame, including boxer Evander Holyfield and WWE superstar Triple H. Couture was himself inducted back in 2012.

On Monday, Couture visited Walter Reed to donate money to six military families.

He then stopped by WTOP to discuss his career in sports and entertainment.
