Wasted At Midnight wins feature by a nose at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Wasted At Midnight hung on to win the $60,000 feature for older fillies and mares by a nose Thursday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Martin Garcia, Wasted At Midnight ran 6 furlongs in 1:09.43 and paid $12.40, $5.40 and $3.20.

Clearly Confused rallied from last and returned $3.80 and $2.60, while Harlington’s Rose was another half-length back in third and paid $2.60 to show as the 5-2 favorite.

The victory, worth $36,000, increased Wasted At Midnight’s career earnings to $170,790, with three wins in 15 starts.
