Wizards add season-ticket holders’ names to court (Photos)

WASHINGTON — This season, the Washington Wizards are letting season-ticket holders get on the court — sort of. The franchise put the names of more than 3,000 season-ticket holders on the court at the Verizon Center. The names were added in teeny-tiny text to the team’s Twitter handle and mantra “D.C. rising” on the court’s sidelines earlier this season, but The Washington Post reports the team waited to announce the court update until recently. The franchise wanted to make sure the text would hold up through the foot traffic during the games. The names included are the full season-ticket holders, and the names will be updated every year, The Post reports. For more information about season tickets for the Wizards, visit the team’s website.
