WASHINGTON — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is getting support from passionate fans — genuine and phony — as Deflategate stretches toward Super Bowl Sunday.

Jimmy Kimmel strung together Massachusetts-bred celebrities — including actors Matt Damon and Ben Affleck — playing die-hard Patriots fans, willing to take the blame for letting air out of footballs during the game with the Colts.

The NFL is looking into the possible involvement of a Patriots locker room attendant.

With thick Boston accents, and bleeped out profanities, Affleck and Damon were joined by John Krasinski of The Office, Captain America Chris Evans, and Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler.

Producer/director Eli Roth, Dicky Barrett of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and ESPN’s Bill Simmons offered evidence and explanations of how they deflated the balls.

According to Krasinski, “Tom Brady had nothing to do with this, cuz  he was too busy being awesome.”
