D.C. Police investigate fatal shooting, and stabbing early Saturday

WASHINGTON — Metropolitan Police are searching for the suspect in a early morning shooting that left a still-unidentified person dead.

Police have not released the details in the shooting, which occurred at the 2700 block of Bruce Place, S.E.  They say they are looking for a six-foot-tall black male, wearing a black mask and black hood. They suspect the man is armed.

Police are also investigating an unrelated stabbing that occurred just before 2 a.m. at the 1900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. They said the male victim, who has not been identified, was conscious and breathing after the incident.

No other details were available Saturday morning.
