TSA screener faces up to 14 years in jail for stealing $10,000 from passengers

WASHINGTON — A Transportation Security Administration screener at New York’s Kennedy Airport could be heading to prison for a lengthy sentence.

Prosecutors say TSA agent Alexandra Schmid,34, stole $10,000 in cash from passengers.

A judge in Queens found her guilty of grand larceny.  Schmid is due back in court on March 13.

 

She could go to prison for up to 14 years.
