Suspect in custody after Va. package thefts

WASHINGTON – Police have arrested a man they say stole a number of delivered packages from doorsteps in the Ballston area.

Keith Moore, 22, of District Heights, Maryland, was acting suspiciously on the 1100 block of N. Vermont Street when an Arlington County police officer stopped him, according to a news release.

Moore is believed to be responsible for more than 40 package thefts over the last few months, the release states.

He was charged with two counts of grand larceny, four counts of petit larceny, credit card theft and fraud and identity theft.

Moore was denied bond and is being held at the Arlington County Detention Facility.
