Mom calls C-SPAN to scold her sons on-air (Video)

WASHINGTON — Mothers scolding brothers for arguing is nothing new. But mothers scolding bickering brothers on C-SPAN is.

Brad Woodhouse, a Democrat, and Dallas Woodhouse, who’s conservative, often make appearances together to discuss their opposing viewpoints. Things can get awkward. But the most awkward so far is probably when their mother, Joy, called in recently.

“I don’t know many families that are fighting at Thanksgiving,” says Joy as her sons realize who the caller is.

“Oh God, it’s mom,” says Dallas Woodhouse.

Neither brother looks impressed in the video.

Joy Woodhouse goes on to explain that raising her sons wasn’t easy, but that she loves politics and loves that they are passionate about what they believe.

“But I hope they just kind of get this out of their system today on your program.”

Brad Woodhouse responds, “That’s wishful thinking.”

Brad Woodhouse is the president of Americans United for Change and the Democratic Super PAC American Bridge.”

Dallas is president and founder of the non-profit Carolina Rising.
