Montgomery Co. economic development director resigns

WASHINGTON — The head of economic development for Montgomery County is the latest to resign.

Montgomery County Economic Development Director Steve Silverman will leave early next year.

The former county council member is the latest to leave as County Executive Isiah Leggett begins his third term.

Silverman plans to open his own consulting firm, The Washington Post reports.

Other department heads who are leaving include Arthur Holmes in transportation and Richard Nelson in Housing and Community Development

According to Montgomery Community Media, Fire Chief Steve Lohr will leave as well.
