WASHINGTON — A twin-engine plane had to make an emergency landing just short of the runway at the Leesburg Executive Airport in Loudoun County Thursday.
The plane, which had departed Dulles International Airport, had been on the way to Pennsylvania, according to the Leesburg Police Department.
Police say they responded to the accident at 11:18 a.m. and that the plane had a power problem.
“Preliminary damage to the aircraft consists of a collapsed landing gear,” says a news release from the police.
The pilot from Florida was not injured.
