Judge rules Rice to be reinstated

WASHINGTON – Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has won his appeal for reinstatement to the NFL.

Former U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones heard the appeal to determine whether the NFL overstepped its authority in modifying Rice’s origional two-game suspension. A decision was expected earlier this week.

Rice was suspended indefinitely after video was released showing the football star punching his then-fiance in a hotel elevator. Rice and Janay Palmer have since married.
