WASHINGTON — Ward 8 Councilmember Marion Barry is in the hospital.

His spokeswoman tells Fox5 the 78-year-old Barry was not feeling well on Thursday night. He was taken to Howard University Hospital as a precaution and will stay there overnight for observation.

Barry was hospitalized in August after a car accident on Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast, which he said was brought on by low blood sugar.
