WASHINGTON –Former Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill, who says he killed Osama Bin Laden, spoke to Redskins players at a team meeting Saturday night, according to player postings on social media.
O’Neill made headlines last week when confirmed that he was man who delivered the fatal shot to Bin Laden in 2011.

The team doesn’t always bring in a guest speaker, but O’Neill, who says he is a Redskins fan, had a story to help motivate the team — as his claim to fame involved teamwork, precision and courage, everything that is needed in performing in the NFL, he said.
Washington wide-out Pierre Garcon went to Instagram and posted a picture with O’Neill.
“We had the honor of meeting and listening to a real HERO tonight before our game tomorrow and he’s a Redskins fan. Navy Seal Team 6 Rob O’Neill thank you for the inspiring words. #HTTR”, he said.
Robert Griffin, a self-described “military brat,” also posed with O’Neill as the team is honoring the military at Sunday’s game against visiting Tampa Bay. This is the Redskins annual Salute to Service. USAA (United Services Automobile Association) is the presenting sponsor and Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the Washington Redskins and joins forces each year to honor local military by inviting more than 50 guests from local military units to today’s game.
