DOVER, Del. (AP) — Dover Police are looking for a suspect they have dubbed the rat burglar because the person cuts holes to enter and tunnel into buildings.
Officers say the rat burglar is believed to have broken into six businesses in Treadway Towers, an office complex, on Wednesday.
Police say the person pried open a second-floor window on a fire escape and forced open interior doors to enter the businesses.
Authorities say cash and money orders were stolen from six businesses, including massage parlors and investment firms.
Police say the rat burglar is also responsible for break-ins at five other businesses, including two apartment complex offices and an auto parts store.
