Metro: weekend work to affect red, green lines

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says passengers on the red and green lines will wait longer for trains this weekend.

Metro says beginning at 10 p.m. Friday and continuing through system closing on Sunday, red line trains will run every 16 minutes and green line trains will run every 20 minutes.

Metro says there will be regular weekend service on the orange, silver, blue and yellow lines. But Metro says that after 10 p.m. Sunday, some passengers traveling on the orange, silver and blue lines may experience additional delays.
