Owner of Plow and Hearth expanding Va. operations

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A manufacturer and distributor of home decor and garden products is expanding its Madison County, creating 25 jobs.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe said Wednesday that PH International LLC will invest $4.5 million to consolidate operations of its subsidiary Plow and Hearth and sister company VivaTerra at its facility.

PH International began as a retail store in 1980 and has since become one of the largest employers in Madison County.

The company’s portfolio now includes the Plow & Hearth, Wind & Weather, HearthSong, Magic Cabin, Problem Solvers, and Reuseit brands.

McAuliffe approved a $100,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund for the project.
