NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are little changed in early trading as investors brace for a busy week of news.

The Dow Jones industrial average was flat at 17,388 as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time Monday. The Standard & Poor’s 500 was up a point at 2,018. The Nasdaq rose 6 points to 4,637.

The Dow and S&P 500 closed at record highs on Friday.

This week will be a busy one for markets. The European Central Bank meets on Thursday to decide whether it will take more to stimulate the region’s economy. And on Friday the monthly U.S. jobs survey will be released.

The price of crude oil fell 27 cents to $80.27 a barrel.

Bond prices didn’t move much. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note held steady at 2.34 percent.
